Submission Terms

1. Eligibility & Acceptance

By submitting a script, treatment, or any related materials ("Material") to Oxer Pictures, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. By ticking the acceptance box on the submission form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Scope of Granted Rights (Evaluation Phase)

At the time of submission, you retain full ownership of your Material. You grant Oxer Pictures the limited, non-exclusive right to read, evaluate, and securely store your Material solely for the administrative purpose of the Open Call 2026 competition.

3. Warranties & Indemnification

You legally guarantee that the Material is your absolute original creation, you hold all exclusive rights to it, and it does not infringe upon any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights. If any legal claims arise regarding the ownership or originality of your submission, you agree to fully indemnify and hold Oxer Pictures harmless against all resulting damages, liabilities, and legal fees.

4. The "Similar Ideas" Waiver

Oxer Pictures is an active production studio continuously developing its own original in-house cinematic concepts. You acknowledge that your Material may contain elements, plots, or themes similar to projects Oxer Pictures has already created, is currently developing, or may develop independently in the future. You explicitly waive the right to pursue litigation for copyright infringement based on coincidental similarities between your unproduced Material and Oxer Pictures' independent works.

5. Winning Selection & The Long-Form Agreement

Being selected as the winner does not automatically initiate production. If your Material is chosen, you acknowledge and agree that the partnership is strictly conditional upon the execution of a separate, comprehensive Long-Form Agreement. You agree that this future contract will stipulate the following core terms:

• Transfer of Economic Rights: You will assign all global, perpetual economic and exploitation rights to Oxer Pictures to allow for the production, distribution, and monetization of the film.
• Consideration via Production: The exclusive compensation for this transfer of IP will be the complete financing and production of the film by Oxer Pictures, alongside guaranteed on-screen attribution (e.g., "Written by", and conditionally "Directed by" if you are physically present on set).
• Final Cut Privilege: While Oxer Pictures is committed to honoring your creative vision, the studio will retain absolute final cut privilege and final approval over all editing, titling, marketing, and distribution decisions.

If both parties cannot execute this Long-Form Agreement, Oxer Pictures reserves the right to rescind the winning selection and choose an alternative Material.

6. Data Protection (GDPR)

In compliance with Hungarian and European Union data protection regulations, the personal data collected (Name, Email, Phone Number, Date of Birth) will be processed exclusively for age verification and competition administration. Your information will never be sold and will be securely deleted if your Material is not selected.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service, and any disputes arising from this submission process, shall be governed exclusively by the laws of Hungary. Any legal proceedings shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Budapest, Hungary.
